A controller has a mobile reader to check each ticket (to be more precise, to read the RFID tag included in the ticket).

|
When a ticket is near a scanner, the application developed by RFIDEA and installed on the mobile reader immediately gives the information to the controller whether the ticket is valid or not.
The application can work in two ways:
The connected way
Every PDA gives information to a central server to get the access (authorization or refusal) of a scanned ticket.
The connected way was used for the VIP Paddock accesses during the ING Belgian Grand Prix 2007.
The autonomous way
Each PDA contains a compact database to get the access (authorization or refusal) of a scanned ticket.
The autonomous way was used during the ING Belgian Grand Prix 2008.
Each controller can allow access (or not) for a visitor to the site.
If the access is not allowed, he can easily visualise and give a short explanation to the spectator.
